Diploma & Certificate Framing

Designed Around the School
Many colleges and universities have established colors and visual identities that are immediately recognizable. We use those colors as a design reference, not as a formula. Sometimes a school color works best as a narrow accent; in another design it may become the primary mat color.
We also look closely at the diploma or certificate itself — the paper tone, typography, seal, ink colors and overall character — before choosing matboard and moulding. With more than 7,000 real-wood and metal moulding samples displayed in our Lake Mary shop, we can compare very different directions in person rather than limit the design to a small set of preset diploma frames.

School colors can be used boldly, subtly, or sometimes not at all when another direction suits the diploma better. Mat colors, moulding finishes and proportions can change considerably from one project to the next.
Graduation Shadowboxes
Sometimes the diploma is only one part of what you want to remember.
A graduation shadowbox can bring the diploma or certificate together with a graduation portrait, tassel, honor cords, school emblems, pins, medals and other keepsakes connected to that experience.
We plan the position, spacing, depth and color relationships of the pieces so the finished shadowbox reads as one composition rather than a collection of separate objects. Each layout is built around the actual items you bring to us rather than a fixed template.
Framed for the Long Term
Diplomas and certificates are often original documents, so the materials behind the design matter as much as what you see from the front.
Acid-Free Materials
We use acid-free matboard and foam board around original documents and keepsakes, helping reduce the risks that come from lower-quality framing materials over time.
UV-Protective Glazing
Our glazing recommendations typically begin with conservation options that block 99% of UV. Museum glass is available when greater clarity and reflection control are especially important.
Reversible Mounting
Mounting methods are selected with long-term preservation and reversibility in mind. If a particular project requires a non-reversible treatment, we discuss that with you before the work begins.
